While the main objective of the car-parking strategy is to provide sufficient accessible car parking for residents and visitors, a secondary aim is to provide it in as unobtrusive a manner as possible. As such the car parking will primarily be screened to enable the residential , retail or commercial nature of the streetscape to be maintained , thus providing an environment fitting for the main functional use of each of the neighbourhoods. Most car parking is provided above ground via podiums which range from one to seven storeys in height. Where the car parking is higher than one storey, screening will take the form of a building envelope which wraps around the structure. 
The marina is an important character-defining element of the master plan concept. 
To take advantage of the value uplift of frontage to given area, a number of open spaces are introduced to the master plan, largely feeding off waterfronts. These open spaces are not only for public areas: Private landscaped to the maser plan, largely feeding off waterfronts.
